Talk to a doctor by phone or video, from anywhere in the world
In partnership with our insurer, AXA, we’re delighted to include access to the Medical Consultation Service
at no extra cost with all of our Travel Insurance policies.
This service is available to our policyholders by phone and via the Doctor Please! app, which is free to download from
either the Apple Store or Google Play Store, so you can easily contact a qualified and experienced doctor by phone or video,
should you ever need medical advice during your travels.
How it works
If you or another traveller on your policy falls ill while you are abroad, it can be difficult to get in touch with a doctor
who speaks your language without having to travel great distances or spend a long time in a waiting room.
The Medical Consultation Service allows you to schedule a remote one-to-one appointment with a doctor, wherever you are
in the world and at a time convenient to you, so you can discuss symptoms, diagnosis and treatment options at the earliest possible opportunity.
After a phone or video appointment via the Doctor Please! app, you’ll even have access to the doctor’s notes and any prescriptions to collect
medication at a local pharmacy.
How to get access
When you purchase a Coverwise Travel Insurance policy, we’ll provide a medical advice access code when we send you your policy documents.
To benefit from the service, you can download the free Doctor Please! app before you depart on your trip from either the Apple Store or
Google Play Store, depending on your device. You can then use your access code to log in to the app and book a video or phone consultation if the need arises.
We’ll also provide the phone number of the AXA Assistance team, who you can contact and use your access code to request a call back from a registered
doctor, who will be in touch as soon as they’re available.
